17-yr-old Girl Drowns In Niger Stream

A 17-year-old girl identified as Elizabeth on Saturday died while trying to get water from a nearby stream for domestic use in Koroka, a suburb of Minna, the Niger State capital

LEADERSHIP gathered that the people of Koroka community have been living without pipe-borne water due to ongoing construction works in the community.

Consequently, the residents of the community depend on the nearby stream around a fish pond for their domestic use.

A resident of the area told our correspondent that the teenage girl was among the Residents of Koroka who went to the stream with her younger sister to fetch water but, in the process, drowned and died.
