2027: Kaduna PDP Begins Reconciliatory Moves

The Kaduna State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated a 17-man reconciliation committee, chaired by Alhaji Shuaibu Idris Mikati with the primary objective to restore unity and trust within the party.

The committee which comprises of eminent party members from various local government areas across the state, is expected to identify and resolve grievances among party faithfuls, particularly those arising from recent party congresses and primary elections, reach out to those that might have been neglected, and appease members who have left the party with a view to bringing them into the party’s fold. They will also recommend strategies to prevent future conflicts and promote unity, among other objectives set out by the party.

At the inauguration ceremony held at Asaa Pyramid Hotel in Kaduna, the PDP state chairman, Chief Edward Percy Masha expressed gratitude to the committee members and confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandate, adding that the committee has two months to complete the assignment.

The chairman urged all party faithfuls and stakeholders to cooperate with the committee to achieve desired results.

Speaking on behalf of the committee’, the committee’s chairman thanked the party for the confidence reposed in them and also assured that they would work tirelessly to address grievances and recommend reconciliatory plans that will strengthen the party

Other members of the committee are Mrs. Abigail Aya, Haj. Hadiza Mohammed, Mrs. Ladi Edward Pati, Hon. Mohammed Hamisu Dantajiri, Mr. Vincent Bodam, Wg. Cdr (RTD) D.A Kwasu, Hon. Ahmad Tsoho Kargi, Alhaji Salisu Nuhu Maimasara, Hon. Abdul Azeez Muazu, Hon. Hamisu Tijjani, Alh. Ahmadu Inuwa, Pharm.Turaki Zinka Kalik, Dr. Shehu Abdullahi, Hon. Abdulrasheed Dogara, Barr. Hamisu Hamza and Comrade Edward John Auta (Secretary)

The ceremony was attended by prominent party leaders, Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru, Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat, Dr John M Ayuba, and a host of other prominent party stakeholders.

This development is a fulfilment of Hon. Masha’s campaign promises to revitalize the party and reposition it for unity and victory in future elections.
