Ojay Makanaki speaks on vision for industry

An actor and movie producer, Ayodele Ojo, aka Ojay Makanaki, has said that he plans to continue contributing to Nollywood, while impacting the youth in general.

Speaking at a recent event where he was presented the National Outstanding Leadership Award of Excellence as an Ambassador of Hope to Nigerian Youths by the Congress of Nigerian Youth, the actor said he also had plans to set up a platform, where anyone involved in production— whether up-and-coming or established— are treated and rewarded fairly without any bias, thereby creating a more inclusive and thriving future for the industry.

He added that Nollywood, being a good investment, was in need of more investors that could bring about its profitable potential.

Makanaki, who has acted in films such as ‘Ega’, ‘Antecedent’; and produced his own movie titled, ‘Ojay Makanaki’, stated that he owed his filmmaking inspiration to Kayode Adebayo, aka Kay Alubarika.
