Fire Razes Gusau Central Market In Zamfara, One Killed

 

A devastating fire outbreak has razed Gusau Central Market in Zamfara State, resulting in the death of one person and the destruction of numerous shops.

The fire, which started around 9pm last night, engulfed the furniture section of the state capital’s largest market.

The Commander of the Nigerian Fire Service, New Market office, Hamza Mohammed, reported that a shop owner, whose name was not disclosed, tragically died while trying to forcibly enter his shop to extinguish the fire.

According to him, firefighters from the state command have been battling the inferno since 9 p.m. yesterday, preventing it from spreading to other shops.
