Journalist partners UK school to assist talented Nigerians

A Nigerian broadcast journalist, Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu has said talented individuals who lack access to quality education will benefit from the partnership it has with the Metropolitan School of Management, UK.

A statement by Nedu explained that it would unveil in Lagos, an all-expense paid scholarship for 1,000 deserving Nigerians who are prepared to embark on relevant courses in the UK and come back to Nigeria to add more value to the economy of the country.

“Education is the cornerstone of societal progress and through this partnership, we aim to break barriers and unlock opportunities for talented individuals who lack access to quality education,” Nedu said.

He added that the four-year course scholarship had been divided into two with the first phase taking place in Nigeria online while the second phase would hold in the UK to give beneficiaries more exposure.

The Partner, Director of Social Impact Initiatives at Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK, Dylan Hannigan, remarked that the school was happy to partner with Nedu in his commitment to empower deserving Nigerians with resources needed to pursue their educational aspiration and contribute meaningfully to the society.

He said, “The school believes that education should be accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status or background. “

The Manager, Nedu Scholarship Drive, Sarah Williams, said aside from the beneficiaries learning how to solve chronic problems during their second leg of studies in the UK, outstanding students among them would have the privilege of being absorbed into international organisations.

Nedu would deliver the keynote address at the March 9, 2024 unveiling event.
