The Unity Football Tournament sponsored by the Member representing Oron/Mbo/Okobo/Udung Uko/Urueoffong Oruko Federal Constituency Martins Esin will kick off on Wednesday with local teams in the constituency vying for honours.
Esin stated this at a meeting with the President of the Grassroots Football Federation, John Ekpenyong, in Abuja.
The Chairman, House Committee on Youth Development said the event had the potential to bring communities together and showcase local talents.
“The tournament is a platform to foster social cohesion and unite our communities through sporting activities. It will not only promote physical activity but also promote talent discovery and healthy competition among our youthful population,” the lawmaker said.
