Naija Star Search’s second season premieres

The wait is over, and the stage is set for an electrifying new season of Naija Star Search which premieres today, April 20, 2024, on StarTimes.

According to a statement by the organisers, the new season promises heart-pounding and hilarious stage performances, and the discovery of the next generation of afrobeats superstars.

It added that every Saturday at 8 pm on ST Nollywood Plus, music lovers can look forward to a refreshing evening with the infectious rhythm coming from raw and young talents.

Following the success of the debut season, expectations are high, with a lot of attention on this season’s contestants.


Guiding these young hopefuls on their journey are some of the biggest names in the industry, including producer and songwriter, Cobhams Asuquo; rapper, Sasha P; and another lyricist, Vector.

The statement also stated that this season promises a dazzling array of singers, each with their own unique background and signature sounds. It added, “We will hear stories of resilience against tough odds, dreams nurtured in bustling city streets and remote villages alike, and voices that carry the hopes of a nation on their shoulders.

“Get ready for the soulful crooner who brings tears to your eyes, the rapper whose rhymes set your feet tapping, and the unexpected wildcards that could shake up the entire competition.”

The winner of the show will go home with N20m.
