The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has perfected plans to hold Roundtable on Northern Nigeria Youth Development, scheduled for November 19th and 20th, 2024, in Abuja.

This pivotal event aims to address the pressing challenges faced by the youth in Northern Nigeria and foster collaborative solutions among stakeholders, the director – general of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Engr Abubakar Gambo Umar has disclosed.

Engr. Umar emphasised the urgency of the situation, stating, “The myriad of problems associated with our teeming youth makes it imperative that all stakeholders come together. This roundtable will provide a platform to discuss these challenges and work towards sustainable solutions.”

He said the two-day event will gather representatives from various sectors, including government, civil society, religious leaders, traditional rulers, academia, and, importantly, the youth themselves. He added that this inclusive approach is designed to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and considered in the discussions.

“The Roundtable will focus on critical areas such as education, employment, skills training, health, and social empowerment, aiming to create actionable strategies that can be implemented at local and national levels,” he stressed.

He therefore invited all interested parties to participate in the vital conversation about the future of Northern Nigeria’s youth, adding that “Together, we can forge a path towards a brighter, more sustainable future for the next generation.”
