Barcelona To Drag LaLiga To Court Over Registration Of Dani Olmo, Pau Victor

FC Barcelona are set to approach the Spanish Administrative Court regarding the registration of their two players, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

An official announcement from La Liga and the Spanish Federation indicated that they had rejected the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for Barcelona, leading to their removal from La Liga’s player roster.

If the situation remains unchanged, Olmo and Victor may not play for the remainder of the season. Current regulations specify that players cannot be re-registered by the same club within the same season following cancellation.

Initially, both players were registered through December only due to wage-cap restrictions within the league.

Their absence on the field could last until summer, which raises questions about the future for Olmo, a player who has garnered significant interest since joining Barcelona from RB Leipzig in a high-profile move after a successful European Championship campaign with Spain.

Amid that, Barcelona remain optimistic that the administrative court will review and ultimately allow the registration of both players, potentially overturning La Liga and the Spanish Federation’s recent decisions.

This development was shared by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X account, where he stated, “Barcelona confirm they will go to CSD court for Dani Olmo and Pau Victor registration cases. More to follow next week.”

Currently, Barcelona hold the third position in La Liga, trailing leaders Real Madrid by five points.
