Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed the extent of Taiwo Awoniyi’s injury and said it is important for the club to be very careful with his recovery over the next few days.
Awoniyi suffered a broken nose in Forest’s Emirates FA Cup victory over Exeter in midweek.

The Nigeria international was replaced by New Zealand international Chris Wood late in the first half.
The 27-year-old scored the Tricky Trees second goal of the goal of the game.
Santo said it is important to monitor the forward’s progress before this weekend’s Premier League clash with Fulham.

“He broke his nose, so he is in pain and is with the medical department. We are waiting for the right protocols to be followed,” Santo told a press conference yesterday.

“It is a concussion, so we have to be really careful. He looks okay . He is smiling but with pain. In this situation, we have to be careful and take two or three days to settle down and see if he is going to be okay.”
