Abia Senator Presents Scorecard

Senator Austin Akobundu of Abia Central Senatorial District has said the district recorded numerous milestones during his one-year stay at the National Assembly.

Akobundu made the remarks at a press briefing to mark his first anniversary in the Red Chamber of the Assembly in Umuahia, Abia State capital, yesterday.

“You will recall that I was inaugurated last November after the Appeal Court declared me the winner of the February 2023 election for the district,” he said.

He observed that the inauguration was five months after that of the Assembly in June, and he doubled his efforts to meet his campaign promises.

“The milestones include sponsoring of Bills for the establishment of three tertiary institutions in the state and co-sponsoring of others,” he added.
