AkadaPlay to reward academic excellence



AkadaPlay, a new tech-driven platform designed to reward academic excellence, has launched a mission to inspire and celebrate high-achieving students across Nigeria.

This disclosure was made in a statement on Sunday.

The platform aggregates data from primary and secondary schools nationwide to identify top-performing students and connect them with performance-based rewards sponsored by organisation and individuals locally and globally.

In line with the United Nations’ call for organisations to integrate Sustainable Development Goals into their operations, AkadaPlay specifically targets SDG 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education.


By enabling organisation to allocate resources more effectively, the platform seeks to drive sustainable progress in Nigeria’s educational landscape.

The founder of AkadaPlay, Babatunde Adenaike, shared, “Our goal for the 2024/25 academic year is to deliver 10,000 academic rewards. These rewards are more than just recognition; they are a driving force behind improved educational outcomes, nurturing a generation of young Nigerians equipped to excel in a rapidly evolving world.”

Through its real-time data insights, AkadaPlay helps organisations track their impact, match rewards to performance, and support skill development.

The platform fully complies with the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation and aims to collaborate with over 1,000 schools by September 2025, reinforcing its dedication to promoting educational equity and excellence.

The Chief Marketing Officer of AkadaPlay, Flora Ogunlusi, added, “We’re creating a future where hard-working students, regardless of their background, are celebrated and supported.
