Alake to grace CIPM awards

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria has disclosed that the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, will be the royal father of the day for the upcoming maiden edition of the CIPM Mega Awards ceremony.

CIPM said in a release that the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the institute, Mr Olusegun Mojeed, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the monarch in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

It stated that the CIPM Mega Awards ceremony, scheduled for May in Lagos, would host over 3,000 human resources professionals from within and outside the country.

 “The award ceremony aims to honour HR professionals and businesses making significant impacts in people management, while also acknowledging the selfless volunteering by its members,” Mojeed said.

According to him, this initiative celebrates selflessness, excellence, innovation, and leadership, setting the stage for a brighter future for HR practices in Nigeria.

Mojeed added, “Egbaland, and Abeokuta in particular, has witnessed unprecedented growth and development, with initiatives aimed at enhancing education, healthcare, infrastructure and socioeconomic opportunities for the people under His Royal Majesty.”

He declared that Alake’s commitment to the well-being and advancement of the people should be a study in modern leadership.

In his remarks, Alake accepted  CIPM’s invitation, acknowledging the institute’s remarkable achievements in promoting excellence in HR management and the development of professionals in Nigeria.

He applauded CIPM for its impactful regulations, guidance, and training, which he said had significantly contributed to enhancing people management practices across both public and private organisations in Nigeria.
