Anfield: Fresh Report Emerges Hours To Liverpool Vs Man United Premier League Clash

Liverpool and Manchester United have both confirmed that their most anticipated English Premier League match will proceed as scheduled.

Naija News reports that Liverpool is preparing to host Manchester United at Anfield in a vital match for both sides on Sunday, January 5.

Earlier, there were concerns that the Premier League fixture might be postponed due to the severe weather conditions in the region, as an amber weather warning remains in effect.

However, despite concerns regarding safety following significant snowfall in the North West, the two top clubs announced hours before the match that the game would go on as planned.

This decision came after a second safety meeting, which concluded that the match is safe for fans to attend the 16:30 GMT kick-off.

Arne Slot’s team aims to increase their lead over Arsenal to eight points following the Gunners’ draw against Brighton on Saturday.

Conversely, Manchester United, managed by Ruben Amorim, is eager to break their four-match losing streak across all competitions and improve the atmosphere at Old Trafford.

Earlier, Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot, made it clear that he has no intention of rotating his squad ahead of their crucial Premier League match against rival Manchester United on Sunday (today).

In a recent press conference, Slot emphasized that Manchester United boasts a superior roster, stating, “Rotating players against Man United? No, not an option.”

He acknowledged the strength of United’s squad, remarking, “I’ve said it before the first fixture, and I’ll reiterate it now: they have much better players, in my opinion, than perhaps what their position in the league table suggests.”
