Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, has said Governor Umo Eno’s inclusive leadership is devoid of political party interest.
He said the governor’s impartial approach to governance has made the state become an epicentre of sustainable development since May 2023.
Commending Eno for reconnecting the state to the centre without the sentimental political party dichotomy, Ntukekpo lamented that the shift from the centre had segregated Akwa Ibom as a major opposition with pariah tag during the immediate past era.
The APC chairman, who made the assertion during the commissioning of the Hemodialysis Unit and the Accident /Emergency Wards at General Hospital, Ikot Ekpene, however prayed for the new found harmony to be sustained.
He praised the governor’s visionary leadership which, he noted, was the major driving force in spreading life-changing projects in the state, pointing out that the governor’s projects especially the healthcare facilities being commissioned have significantly improved the welfare of the people.
“Let me use this opportunity to commend the performing Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno. It is truly heartening to witness a leader who delivers on his promises,” Ntukekpo enthused.
He recalled that “since assuming office, the governor has implemented projects and programmes that have positively impacted the lives of our people. The grassroots are thriving. His projects demonstrate his deep love for the people. We pray that God continues to strengthen him as he brings succour to our communities.”
Prince Silas Ekpo, a community leader in Ikot Ekpene, expressed delight, noting that “this latest endorsement from a leading figure of the opposition underscores the people-centric approach of Governor Eno’s administration,”adding that “It reinforces the Governor’s commitment to inclusivity as outlined in his ARISE Agenda blueprint.
“This recognition of the Governor from across the political spectrum confirms that his word remains his bond in improving the lives of Akwa Ibom’s citizens,” he added.
