The guber aspirant who spoke with newsmen yesterday in his Umueri home in Anambra East local government area of the state maintained that the insecurity situation in the state showed that the governor was not deploying the state’s security vote properly.

The state commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake had while giving a breakdown of the state’s 2025 budget proposal of N607 billion submitted to the State House of Assembly by Soludo said that the state security vote for the current year is N17 billion and that the amount proposed for next year was increased to N25 billion.

Chukwuma told newsmen that the primary responsibility of the government is security of lives and property but decried that the incumbent administration in the state has failed in the responsibility saying that there is no evidence that the state police command, DSS, NSCDC, the military and other security agencies in the state were being supported by the government.
