APC Youths Urge Tinubu To Address Leadership Disparity

In a recent development, APC youth groups in the North Central region have urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to rectify what they perceive as a lack of balance in key leadership positions within the party.

The Chairman of the groups, Hon. Hamza Auta Mohammed, voiced their concerns in a statement, particularly noting the recent changes in the party’s leadership structure.
He highlighted the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from the North West following the resignation of Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu as a focal point of contention.
Mohammed stressed the importance of fairness and equity in such appointments, urging the party leadership to ensure adequate representation for the North Central region.
He emphasized the necessity of a transparent process that adheres to principles of inclusivity and meritocracy, underscoring the region’s eagerness to contribute meaningfully to the party’s advancement and the nation’s progress.

Expressing disappointment, Mohammed stated, “We, the young members from the North Central, express our concerns regarding the recent transition in the present APC party leadership.”

He highlighted the perceived imbalance in the composition of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), particularly in relation to the North Central region.
He further elaborated, “We firmly believe that the North Central region has not had the opportunity to fully showcase its potential and contribute effectively to the party.”
Mohammed pointed out the deviation from the zoning arrangement within the NWC and stressed the importance of fairness and equity in such appointments.
