Awoniyi named PFA community champion



Taiwo Awoniyi has been honoured with the Professional Footballers’ Association Community Champion award for the 2024/25 season, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to community development.

The Nigerian forward, who plays for Nottingham Forest, received the accolade for his unwavering commitment to supporting local communities throughout the campaign.

In a statement on Tuesday via X, Nottingham Forest said, “Taiwo Awoniyi has been named our PFA Community Champion for the 2024/25 season in recognition of his outstanding dedication to supporting local communities throughout the year.”

The award is given annually to players who go above and beyond in their efforts to make a positive impact off the pitch.
