Bauchi APC Elders Lament Worsening Hardship, Urge Intervention

Bauchi State Tinubu/Kashim Elders Mobilisation Circle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked the federal government to urgently address the severe economic hardship facing the country, emphasising that the plight of the poor must not be ignored.

Speaking to LEADERSHIP over the weekend, secretary of Tinubu/Kashim Elders Mobilisation Circle, Isah Marafa, noted that inflation and the soaring cost of living highlighted how key sectors like security, food, education, and healthcare are deteriorating under the weight of the current economic crisis.

He said the rising fuel costs are particularly devastating, as they affect “every facet of the life of average Nigerians.”

While noting the commitment of the APC-led federal government to reversing the downturn, Marafa urged swift and decisive measures to stabilise the economy and bring relief to struggling citizens.

“Leaders must consider the current economic hardship. Poor Nigerians need succour,” he stated while calling on leaders from Bauchi State to take proactive steps to support their constituents.

He also called for divine intervention, urging Nigerians to repent and seek God’s mercy for a turnaround in the nation’s fortunes. “Only God can lift us,” he said, underscoring the importance of both human and spiritual efforts to alleviate the suffering of millions.
