Bauchi Commissioner Redirects Salaries

Bauchi State commissioner for education, Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru, has said her salaries and allowances should be redirected to the services of the state and her ministry.

The commissioner on assumption of office, had recommended and executed a transformative project to improve the ministry’s facilities and services.

A statement by the ministry’s information and public relations officer, Jalaludeen Usman, said her ‘We Care Foundation’ undertook landscaping improvements, erected a security barricade around the ministry’s premises and installed an easily identifiable, attractive signboard.

“On November 14, 2024, the project’s completion was officially marked when Alhaji Saad Mohamed Dahiru, co-founder of ‘We Care Foundation’, handed over the renovation notes to the Ministry of Education.

The ministry’s permanent secretary, Alhaji Ali Babayo, who received the documents, praised the commissioner’s generosity and the outstanding quality of the work, which, he noted, would benefit the ministry for years to come.
