BMAX speaks on journey from digital media to nightlife

Bolaji Matanmi, better known as BMAX, has built a reputation as a digital media strategist and nightlife enthusiast. After leading successful campaigns for major brands, he developed a keen interest in the nightlife industry, transitioning from digital media to curating premium nightlife experiences.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, BMAX shared how his journey into the nightlife business began.

“In 2020, I decided to try something different—hosting a nightlife event at a lounge in Lagos. The event, named XCAPE, was co-hosted alongside actor and nightlife enthusiast, Yhemo Lee. It was our first-ever event in Lagos, and the turnout was massive. That experience opened my eyes to the potential of the nightlife sector.

Since making his transition, BMAX has successfully hosted several club activations and nightlife events in Lagos, including ‘Wet & Wild’, ‘Lagos x London All-Star’, and other exclusive experiences.

Speaking on his future plans, he said, “I have a lot more coming business-wise. I am constantly exploring new opportunities, not just in nightlife, but across different sectors that align with my passion for entertainment and lifestyle. I am working on projects that will solidify my brand.”
