The Senate has given its nod to the 2024 Appropriation Bill, approving a total budget of N28.7 trillion.
This figure marks an increase from the initial estimate of N27.5 trillion presented by President Bola Tinubu.
The decision to approve this revised budget was reached during the Saturday plenary session of the upper chamber. Key components of the approved budget include N1.7 trillion allocated for statutory transfers, N8.7 trillion for recurrent expenditure, and N9.9 trillion designated for capital expenditure.
