Cameroon CAA, Caverton partner on aviation certification

In a move to enhance aviation expertise, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority has joined forces with Caverton to issue Certificates of Competence in Aircraft Maintenance and Recycling.

According to a statement, the inaugural batch of 14 students, who commenced their training in November 2022, recently received their well-deserved certifications.

The intensive 10-month training programme, conducted by the CCAA Training School in collaboration with the National Advanced School of Engineering, Cameroon, Yaoundé, had set the stage for future aviation professionals.

The partnership, known as CAMRA Training, is a result of the collaboration between the University of Yaounde and the CCAA.

During the 10-month training, four trainees completed their three-month internships at Caverton Helicopters in Ikeja, Lagos, while two gained valuable experience at Caverton Aviation in Cameroon, Douala.

Caverton Helicopters had promised to employ two of the trainees.
