Cleric Calls For Enabling Environment For Job Creation To Tackle Insecurity

Some Ministers of the Gospel have called on the federal government to create an enabling environment for young people so as to tackle the surge of insecurity in Nigeria.

This was made known during the National Ministers Conference in Abuja with the theme: “SHIFT”, organised by the Champion Faith Assembly.

The Senior Pastor of the Champion Faith Assembly, Apostle Godspower Udjor, said the annual event was to empower gospel preachers with necessary knowledge to succeed in the Ministry.

“Above all, we are asking the federal government to provide enabling environment for job creation because when young people are engaged with job, they will not take to evil vices, the idle mind is the devil’s workshop. While the church would continue to pray for Nigerians, we also encourage the government at all levels to do the needful because the state of insecurity is becoming alarming,” Apostle Udjor said.

Meanwhile, a female Pastor, Bishop Mercy Grandiom, said the event had impacted her positively and emphasised the need for young persons to study the word of God frequently.

Similarly, Apostle Godwin Oji said Nigerians would overcome their challenges if they focus more on the ability of God to address the issues.
