Coalition: Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai Can’t Defeat Tinubu In 2027 – Ganduje

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr Abdullahi Ganduje on Thursday declared that the opposition coalition formed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi and former Kaduna governor, Nasir El-Rufai as one without a base, adding that Nigerians will still support APC and President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Ganduje while reacting to the formation of the coalition announced yesterday by Atiku in Abuja, said Atiku and others have no identifiable base.

Earlier on Thursday, former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, confirmed the formation of a coalition aimed at challenging the ruling APC in the 2027 election cycle.

Atiku said this at a press conference in Abuja, which brought together concerned leaders and political stakeholders to address the controversial declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu a couple of days ago.

When asked whether the emerging coalition would serve as the major opposition against the APC in the upcoming elections, Atiku responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes.”

But Ganduje said no amount of political arrangement or gang up can stop Tinubu re-election in 2027.

Ganduje told LEADERSHIP through his senior special assistant on public enlightenment, Chief Oliver Okpala, that the coalition is a gathering of persons from parties with different political ideologies, and selfish interests.

He said, “The support of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his re-election as president in 2027 is unshakable and still like the rock of Gibraltar.

“Dr Ganduje does not have any fear of the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.Tinubu will surely emerge Victorious because of his performance since he assumed office as president of nigeria.

“Forget the recent political gatherings and rantings from some politicians who presently do not have any identifiable political base.

“Their gathering from the Labour Party, PDP, SDP and others are people with different political ideologies and selfish political interests that can never agree on any issue politically.

“The gathering is an assemblage of people with divergent political interests. Dr Ganduje had earlier advised those interested in the presidency from the north in 2027 to stop their intentions as the north and people across Nigeria will surely vote and support Tinubu’s re-election as president in 2027. No amount of political arrangement or gang up can stop the good people of Nigeria from re-electing Tinubu as president in 2027,” he said.
