Deliver Quality Projects Or Face Contract Termination, Bauchi Govt Warns Road Contractors

The Bauchi State government has issued a stern warning to contractors handling various road projects across the state, urging them to strictly adhere to project specifications and timelines or risk contract termination.

The warning was issued by the state commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Prof. Titus Saul Ketkuka, during an unscheduled inspection of selected road projects within Bauchi town yesterday.

Prof. Ketkuka emphasised Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad’s commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure that meets the needs of the people of Bauchi State.

Among the project sites visited by the commissioner included Gwallameji – Doka – Rafin Zurfi – Dass Road (2.6km), Sabon Kaura – Birshi Gandu – Bauchi Radio Cooperation BRC Road (4.5km) and Zango – Gwallagan Mayaka (4km) among others.

During his on-the-spot assessment, the Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance by Habibu Engineering Nigeria Limited, urging the company to intensify efforts to ensure the timely completion of all ongoing projects.

He reiterated that the administration would not tolerate delays or substandard work, as these projects are people-centred and aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens.

Limited, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to Bauchi State’s development.
They assured the commissioner of their commitment to delivering all projects to specification and on schedule.

Also speaking, the Community Head of Sabon Garin Gwallameji and Sarkin Yamman Galadiman Bauchi, Malam Hassan Ibrahim, thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for the infrastructural developments in their area.

He praised the quality of the ongoing work and pledged the community’s full support and cooperation to ensure successful project delivery.
