Don authors book on SMEs

The Chief Operating Officer, Pan-Atlantic University, Dr. Peter Bamkole, has authored a book, titled, ‘Built by enterprise-unlocking the potential of Small Medium Enterprises in Nigeria.’

Bamkole, a pioneer director at Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University said the book was an insightful exploration of the dynamic landscape of SMEs in Nigeria.

He said, “Built by Enterprise is the culmination of a 20-year journey that brings to light the remarkable growth and impact of the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University on SMEs in Nigeria and beyond.

 The author said he used dynamic storytelling, insightful case studies, and visual maps to create the masterpiece, adding that “it explains the challenges faced by SMEs in Nigeria, the strategies they deployed, and celebrates their transformative role in shaping our economy.”

Book reviewer, Group CEO of Zenith Bank Plc, Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, who was represented by Chief Audit Executive, Zenith Bank, Mogbitse Atsagbede, said, “The 15 chapter book treats issues such as ecosystem development, enabling female entrepreneurs, sustaining the social agenda, impact meets circularity, and building systemic changes, building systemic changes, reaching more people through e-learning, building international networks and infrastructure to support enterprise development among many other interesting issues on entrepreneurship.”

Speaking about the book, CEO, Mastercard Foundation, Reeta Roy, said “Built by Enterprise, chronicles the creation of EDC, which in itself, is an entrepreneurial journey. The story is about the stories of people, whose ingenuity, passions, and determination have changed their lives as well as those around them.”
