A skit maker and actress, Olukemi Niyi-Aluko, aka Diva Gold, is of the opinion that it is wrong for one have a best friend outside of one’s relationship.
She told Saturday Beats, “Yes, I do believe in true love. The qualities I look out for are a long list. It is important to know one’s partner’s next moves. Friendship should be the foundation of the relationship. There should be nothing like having best friends outside your relationship. Be curious about each other but don’t lose respect for each other. You should be there for your partner in times of happiness and distress, and respect each other’s opinion even if you don’t agree. I love a man that will agree with me whether I am wrong or right. He should just be on my side regardless.”
Speaking on her weight loss journey, Gold said, “I started my weight loss journey in October 2023. I went to jokingly check my weight at a pharmacy, and I found out that my Body Mass Index did not match my body weight. Although I had been procrastinating about losing weight, I was not impressed with what I saw that day. I said to myself that I was not living a healthy life. I needed to start working out. Then, I registered at a gym for the umpteenth time. But this time, I took it seriously, and I started losing weight in weeks, because I dedicated my time to it.”
She also stated that a veteran actress, Sola Sobowale, inspired her web series titled, ‘Abebi the Godmother’.
