The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Amadin Enabulele, has called on the sports community to embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and resilience during this Easter season.
In a statement by his media aide on Sunday, Wilson Edoko, Enabulele emphasised that Easter is a season of renewal and reflection, urging everyone to emulate the core virtues of Christ.
“This time of the year is not only a moment for reflection and renewal but also an opportunity to embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and resilience that sports’ embodies,” he said.
“Easter is a reminder of new beginnings and the strength that comes from overcoming challenges. Just as the season brings forth new life, let us also renew our commitment to the growth and development of sports in Edo State,” he added.
Enabulele encouraged athletes, coaches, officials, supporters, and sports enthusiasts to use the season to recharge and reflect on their collective goals.
He added, “Let us continue to work together to develop our talents, promote sportsmanship, and uplift one another as we strive for excellence in all our endeavours,” he declared.
Looking ahead to upcoming competitions and initiatives, Enabulele urged everyone to carry the spirit of Easter which has to do with hope, determination, and commitment, into training and competitions.
He added, “Together, we can achieve great things and further solidify Edo State’s position as a leading force in Nigerian sports.”
