Eid-el-Kabir: Kaduna senator pledges continued support for constituents

Senator Lawal Usman, representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has pledged to continue using his mandate to implement beneficial programmes and projects for the common good of his constituents.

In a statement to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir on Friday, Usman congratulated Muslims in his constituency, Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole, and prayed that God accepts their supplications and acts of obedience.

“My pledge is to continue to work assiduously to make life better for all the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial District and practically alleviate the suffering of the less privileged,” Usman said.

The senator highlighted his achievements in the past two years, including the construction of 100 smart primary school buildings, the provision of hundreds of millions of Naira worth of scholarships, the empowerment of youths and women, the provision of electricity transformers, boreholes, and solar lights.

“We have recorded remarkable achievements in key sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

“We will continue to prioritise the welfare and well-being of our people and work towards bringing unprecedented socio-economic and infrastructural developments to all facets of their lives,” Usman said.

He also disclosed that he had sponsored four crucial motions and four bills, which are now in their third reading stages and about to be passed into law by the Senate.

He added that he had also continued to sponsor people to perform the lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia to offer prayers for the peace, progress, and unity of Nigeria.

The senator urged his constituents to continue to support him in his efforts to better their lot and take Kaduna Central to greater heights.

He also enjoined all Muslim faithful to use the occasion of the festival to pray for continuous peace, an end to insecurity, hardship, and economic challenges confronting the people.

“As Muslims, we must continue to cherish that spirit of sacrifice, togetherness, and gratitude while reflecting on Almighty Allah’s blessings as we transmit and exhibit the lessons of compassion and empathy in our daily dealings with others,” Usman said.

He also charged all Nigerians to eschew selfish promotion of personal, group, sectarian, and other interests and instead promote sacrifice for harmony and tolerance in their relationships with other citizens at all times.
