Electricity vandals arrested in Enugu, says TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria has announced the successful arrest of three individuals linked to the recent vandalisation of power line installations in Agbogugu, Enugu State.

The suspects were apprehended following a coordinated effort between local community members and law enforcement agents on Sunday, March 24, 2025.

According to a statement from Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager, Public Affairs at TCN, the suspects were initially detained at the Agbogugu Police Station in Ozalla.

They were subsequently transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department and later moved to prison following their first court appearance.

The statement read, “The Transmission Company of Nigeria has announced the arrest of three individuals suspected of vandalising power line installations in Agbogugu, Enugu State. This achievement is the result of a collaborative effort between community members and law enforcement agents on Sunday, March 24, 2025.”

It added that the Commission is collaborating closely with the police to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

This case underscores the importance of community awareness and cooperation with law enforcement agencies to combat vandalism.
