EPL: Wissa double helps Brentford edge past Bournemouth, Fulham win

Saturday’s English Premier League action delivered excitement as Brentford edged past Bournemouth 3-2 in a high-scoring encounter.

Yoane Wissa’s double (27′, 58′) and a goal from Mikkel Damsgaard (50′) propelled Brentford to victory, despite Bournemouth taking the lead early through Evanilson’s strike in the 17th minute and Justin Kluivert’s quick response in the 49th.

Meanwhile, Fulham clinched a solid 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, with Emile Smith Rowe breaking the deadlock just before halftime (45+2) and Harry Wilson sealing the game in the 83rd minute.

West Ham and Everton battled to a goalless draw, both teams struggling to break through defences and missing out on crucial points.
Wolves, meanwhile, secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Southampton.

Pablo Sarabia opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute, while Matheus Cunha added another in the 51st, putting the game out of Southampton’s reach.

Currently, Brighton are hosting Manchester City, while later on, Liverpool will take on Aston Villa at 21:00 Nigerian time.

Sunday’s schedule features Manchester United vs. Leicester, Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle, and Tottenham vs. Ipswich (all at 15:00 Nigerian time), with Chelsea facing Arsenal in the marquee match at 17:30 Nigerian time.
