The FCT Tax Practitioners Association (FCT TPA) has announced the election of Mr. Ajakpomevi Uziewe as its 5th Chairman.
The association said Uziewe’s election marked a new chapter for the association, which comprises members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) practising in Abuja.
Mr. Uziewe, the Managing Partner of Ajakpomevi Uziewe & Co., brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. A graduate of Accounting from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), he holds prestigious fellowships from both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigation of Nigeria.
Throughout his career, Mr. Uziewe has garnered extensive experience in assurance, tax, and financial management, having worked with reputable organizations including Abuja Clinics, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, Oakcliff Global Synergy Limited, and Anija Okoye & Co.
The FCT Tax Practitioners Association is renowned for its proactive collaboration with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS). This partnership is crucial in fostering a smooth and harmonious relationship between taxpayers and tax administrators within the Federal Capital Territory.
