Fenerbahce plot new Osayi-Samuel deal

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are planning to offer Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel an enticing deal to make him sign a contract extension.

Osayi-Samuel’s career is in the balance as he has refused to sign a contract extension with his current one set to expire at the end of the season.

The Super Eagles star has been a consistent performer for the Yellow Canaries since joining the club four years ago, registering seven goals and 15 assists in 171 appearances.

Hence, they do not want to lose him in the summer. Fenerbahce have been trying to get Osayi-Samuel to sign a new deal, but the Nigerian has been adamant.

Talks about Osayi-Samuel’s future have stalled since the start of the year, but it seems that the Yellow Canaries are now prepared to resume talks.

According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce are preparing to give Osayi-Samuel an enticing offer that would convince him to stay. However, the value of the deal has not been ascertained yet.

The former QPR star currently earns £2.5m yearly, and he will be hoping that the Yellow Canaries increase that money significantly.

Osayi-Samuel started his career in England, and there have been talks that he is seeking a move to the Premier League.

The Super Eagles star has already been linked with a move to Everton and Crystal Palace. Earlier this season, he was spotted at Selhurst Park, watching Crystal Palace’s game against Arsenal.

Aside from the allure of the Premier League, most teams in the English top flight would be able to pay him higher than what Fenerbahce currently pays him.

With the season almost set to end, Osayi-Samuel will look to make a decision soon.
