Gala fans ready to pay for Osimhen amid renewed United interest

As the transfer speculations surrounding Victor Osimhen continue to gather momentum, some sections of Galatasaray fans say they are willing to contribute a substantial amount to secure the signing of the Nigerian forward ahead of next season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Osimhen is on loan from Napoli and he has excelled at the Turkish club, powering them close to their 25th title with 22 goals in the league and 31 across all competitions.

The 26-year-old is valued at €75m by Napoli and they are expected to sell him this summer with interests from England, Spain and Italy.

The Nigerian has become fans favourite in Turkey, but due to their financial situation, Galatasaray are not favoured to retain the services of their cherished asset, but the fans say they are ready to take the bull by the horn and make Osimhen stay.

“If necessary, don’t make any transfers for two years. Spend all the money on Victor Osimhen. Also, start a campaign, and the great Galatasaray fans will provide as much financial support as they can,” a fan account, Grande 1905, made a call to the club on X.

Another fan Inan Deniz also said he was ready to part ways with some of the money he got as compensation at work.

“I had a workplace accident, lost my finger, and received compensation; 10 thousand was taken from my compensation.”

“I think there’s no need to gamble, we should sign Osimhen and not disrupt this chemistry. Galatasaray, you won’t find another striker like this, no need to take risks,” another fan Erdem Yavas warned the club.

Another Gala fan, Ahmet Tekeli, also advised the club on how to beat other suitors.

“June 2026 marks the end of Osimhen’s contract with Napoli. A one-year loan extension should be requested, or when his contract expires, the $65m transfer fee could be paid as a salary over four years. The team’s internal dynamics also need to be managed.”

Osimhen has been fond of the Galatasaray fans since he arrived in Turkey and that is not unconnected with his performance for the club.

Currently on 31 goals this season, he is just four goals shy off Marcel Jardel’s 34 goals as Galatasaray highest scoring foreigner in a season.

Meanwhile, English Premier League club, Manchester United, still hold a strong interest in Osimhen.

According to TuttoJuve Reuben Amorim’s side are ‘willing to pay’ the €75m release clause in his Napoli contract and are said to have offered the Nigerian an annual salary of €15m (£12.8m).

As things stand, the Red Devils are not at an advanced stage to sign Osimhen, as it is claimed that the deal is taking time to be finalised due to ‘a whim’ on the striker’s side.

Thanks to Osimhen’s contribution, Galatasaray sit five points clear at the top of the Turkish Super Lig and have reached the Turkish Cup final.
