Governor Kefas Orders Taraba Council Chairmen To Secure Communities

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has directed the 16 local government areas’ chairmen to henceforth ensure that the security of life and property in their domains remains their priority.
Kefas gave the order yesterday at the Government House, Jalingo, the state capital during his maiden meeting with newly elected local government council chairmen.
The chairmen were inaugurated on November 22, 2023.
In an interview with journalists, the permanent secretary of the Bureau of Local Government, Traditional and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Babangida Hassan, said the governor was emphatic on the welfare of the people at the grassroots and their security.

Hassan said the meeting was a wake-up call to the chairmen to constantly remain in their offices and be in touch with the traditional rulers to harness security tips to forestall any possible security outbreak within their areas.

„The governor is passionate about the wellbeing of the people and the development of the people at the grassroots,” he said.
