President Bola Tinubu has been commended for his intervention in the political dispute between suspended Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara and the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike.

The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji gave the commendation on Thursday, in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Maharaj appealed to the feuding parties to sheath their swords in the best interest of the people of the state in particular, and Nigeria in general.

“The Wike vs Fubara conflict, like others of its kind and of the past, will ultimately end and will leave the abjectly poor masses of Nigeria struggling and gleaning in their protracted penury as usual.

“However, to the extent that the State of Emergency Constitutional provision invoked on the state by Mr. President has reduced the political heat and tension in that part of Nigeria, Mr President deserved to be praised.

“Godfatherism and self-satisfaction are neither new nor news to the bohemia and cesspool of Nigerian and global politics.

“Therefore, President Tinubu’s intervention against the highly emotional clash in the state is certainly a perfect antidote,” Maharaj ji said.

The spiritual leader of One Love Family stressed that the real enemy of Rivers State and Nigeria is neither Wike nor Fubara, adding that it is also not President Tinubu or any of the indigenous Nigerians in his cabinet.

He added that rather than fighting and hating each other, “Wike and Fubara should commit themselves against sustaining rifts or disagreements in the state for the real enemy of peace and progress in Nigeria, to exploit to the benefit of their ultra-evil agenda.

“I, therefore, call on Wike and Fubara to reconcile sooner than later in the best interest of the people of the state and of the greater population of indigenous Nigerians spread across other parts of Nigeria.”

LEADERSHIP recalls that President Tinubu had on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, suspended Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu alongside members of the state House of Assembly for an initial period of six months over the political crisis in the state.
