The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the distribution of uniforms and luggage to intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The distribution began yesterday at the Board’s Secretariat in Bauchi, with designated centres set up to ease the process for all beneficiaries.
The executive secretary of the board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris in a press release said that pilgrims who made their Hajj fare payments through their respective local government areas are to collect their uniforms and handbags from their local government offices.
He added that those who paid directly to the Board should collect their items at the Board’s Secretariat.
“All intending pilgrims who have completed their payments are requested to proceed to the designated collection points to obtain their uniforms and handbags,” the statement reads.
Imam Idris emphasised the importance of the uniform, describing it as a symbol of identity for pilgrims throughout the Hajj period.
He urged all pilgrims to ensure they wear their uniforms, starting from the Hajj camp in Bauchi and throughout their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially during the performance of the Hajj rites.
He further appealed to intending pilgrims to comply with all guidelines and cooperate fully with officials to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj exercise.
