I never wanted to leave Man City – Palmer

Chelsea striker, Cole Palmer has disclosed he never wanted to leave Manchester City last season.

The player who as so far scored eight goals and provided four assists so far said this while speaking to Sky Sports on Tuesday.

The English football player exited Man City to Chelsea after triumphing in the Treble with Pep Guardiola’s side.

He noted that he had wanted to go on loan for a year, come back and be ready for the first team.

He said, “My thing was to never leave City. That was not my intention. I wanted to go on loan for a year, come back and be ready for the first team. But they said I couldn’t go on loan, either stay or you get sold.

“So then, Chelsea rang me. I said I wanted to go to Chelsea and I’m really happy to be here. I’m very glad I made the decision to come here.”
