Insurance dominance continued in the second half as substitute Chinedu Onyejekwe headed home the fourth goal for the Benin Arsenals in the 57th minute. He sustained a head injury and had to leave the game

Meyiwa Oritseweyinmi struck again in the 61st minute to wrap up the game and helped his side advance to the round of 32 of this year’s FA cup.

In a post match interview, Ikhenoba praised the Benin Arsenals for their commitment, particularly the way they approached the game.

“They gave me what I wanted from them. No complacency, no dull moments. It was the best way to face any team you are not familiar with, especially the ones football followers tagged the underdogs,” he said.

“I am pleased with the outcome. I keep saying that there is no pushover anymore in football. The FA cup is usually filled with surprises and upset. So, I’m happy my boys were alive to their responsibility. Our attention now shifts to the league.”

Insurance are currently 9th on the. NPFL league table and will host Sunshine Stars on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium by 4pm.
