Insurance firm donates wheelchairs to National Orthopaedic Hospital



Prudential Zenith Life Insurance has donated 20 wheelchairs to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, in commemoration of this year’s World Wheelchair Day.

According to a statement from the firm on Saturday, the donation reaffirmed its commitment to building resilient communities and making a lasting impact on the lives of Nigerians.

World Wheelchair Day, observed globally on March 1st, serves as an important reminder of the need for accessibility and support for individuals with mobility challenges.

It was indicated that the donation, which was received by Adenike Ayo from the Public Relations office on behalf of the Medical Director of NOHIL, has been subsequently distributed to patients in need.


This gesture not only enhances the mobility and independence of recipients but also aligns seamlessly with Prudential Zenith Life’s broader vision of supporting health and well-being in the communities they serve.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, Cherise Ige, emphasised the company’s unwavering commitment to social impact and community resilience.
