International Breweries bags Top Employer Award



International Breweries Plc has been honoured with the “Top Employer” Award by the Top Employers Institute.

The brewer also won the “Outstanding Employer of Choice” accolade at the HR People Magazine Awards 2024.

According to a statement from the firm, it also won awards for Outstanding HR Communications Strategy, Outstanding Workplace Culture & Ethics, Human Resource Business Partner of the Year, and HR Team of the Year 2024.

The Managing Director of International Breweries Plc, Carlos Coutino, said, “We are delighted to receive these awards, which affirm our commitment to creating an environment where our employees can truly flourish. These recognitions celebrate the company’s steadfast dedication to its employees’ well-being, growth, and development.


“Our achievements reflect the impact of prioritising our people and cultivating an innovative, multicultural workplace that recognises individual uniqueness regardless of religion, creed or belief system.

“When our employees are cheerful, it becomes easier for them to contribute to the achievement of our business goals and the sustained quality of our products and service offerings.”

The People Director IB, Esther Ezenwoko, attributed the success to initiatives, such as employee development programmes, performance management practices, and corporate social responsibility efforts, which enhanced employee satisfaction and engagement.

According to Ezenwoko, through programmes like the Kickstart Entrepreneurship Programme and Global Management Trainee Scheme, IBPLC contributes to youth empowerment, economic growth, and sustainability.

She added that those awards reinforce IBPLC’s reputation as an employer of choice, driven by a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and commitment to workforce excellence.
