Thursday, April 17, 2025, was a day was filled with festivities as the families of Ojo from Nigeria and Mkambala from Tanzania united for the traditional wedding of their daughter, Priscilla, and son, Juma.
Stormed by many celebrities and notable personalities, the wedding took place at the Five Palm in Oniru, Lagos. From the choice of decoration to the seating arrangements, everything exuded class. The event marked the final traditional ceremony to join the couple as husband and wife.
For their big day, the couple was dressed in matching blue and pink traditional attire, while the bridesmaids and groomsmen sported coordinating pink outfits.
The day was filled with joy and laughter for the couple as they shared beautiful moments with friends and family. Priscilla’s parents— Ademidun and Iyabo Ojo— who had been separated for years, united just for the wedding.
One standout moment of the ceremony was when Juma pleaded with the bride’s family for her hand in marriage. Another notable moment was when Priscilla presented a thoughtful gift to Juma— a throw pillow with a picture of his late father on it. Another highlight of the ceremony was when the bride professed love to her parents before bidding them goodbye. She also shared dances with her father and mother at different times, while Juma danced with his sister, Fatma.
At the wedding, Priscilla experienced love from close family friends who ensured that everything was in order. Actress, Toyin Abraham, was on standby to make sure that things were well organised. Beyond that, she took on roles such as giving guests tags, ushering them in, and attending to the bridesmaids’ needs.
Entrepreneur, Chioma Ikwoku, was also on hand to perform “big sister” duties while Priscilla’s best friend and social media influencer, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, catered to the bride’s needs.
Describing the moment as a dream come true, the groom stated, “I feel great. It is like a dream come true. I have been waiting for this day for so long.”
He added that he knew Priscilla was going to be his wife from the moment he saw her.
On her part, Priscilla revealed that they met in Rwanda. She also stated that she knew he would be her husband from the day she met him, saying, “It was a very different night. We instantly felt a connection.”
For their second outfits the bride wore a green and wine-colored dress while the groom sported a wine agbada to match. The couple cut their grand cake in style, sharing heartfelt kisses afterwards.
At the wedding, the couple was treated to a performance by the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke. Priscilla later introduced her husband to the governor. Her husband greeted the governor like a proper Yoruba man, which was not surprising as he has been learning the language and infusing it into his songs.
The ceremony was rounded off with an after-party where the couple celebrated with their friends.
Prior to the wedding, a mother’s night ceremony had held. Clips that went viral on the Internet showed the moment Iyabo Ojo attended the event. The ceremony was filled with prayers and songs of praise on behalf of the bride.
Priscilla’s bridesmaids also organised a surprise Tanzanian-themed bridal shower where the bridesmaids were dressed in a Tanzanian local fabric called “khanga”.
Meanwhile, the couple released a series of photos in five different outfits for their pre-wedding shoot. Further affirming their love, Juma Jux produced a seven-track EP titled, ‘God Design’, which he dedicated to his wife.
On February 7, 2025, the couple had tied the knot in a Tanzanian traditional wedding. Shortly after, they had their civil wedding, also in Tanzania.
