Jigawa Governor Signs 2024 Budget Into Law

Jigawa State governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has signed the 2024 state appropriation bill into law and vowed to implement it religiously.

The governor signed the budget less than a week after the state House of Assembly passed it.

Speaking shortly after signing the budget, Governor Namadi, commended the State House of Assembly for scrutinizing the budget and passing it on time.

He explained that the timely passage of the budget by the assembly will enable the state executive to maintain the annual budget calendar and also deliver the much expected dividends of democracy to Jigawa State people.

“Today is memorable occasion, as we signed our first budget since I assumed office, and  it marks another milestone in our quest to make Jigawa Great.

“We are committed to the full implementation of this document which was designed as a framework to guide our annual expenditure for achieving the desired goals,” he said.
