Kaduna Gov Now A Sycophant Over Tinubu’s N150bn — El-Rufai

The immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has taken swipe at his successor in office, Senator Uba Sani, saying the latter now ’embarrassingly and sycophantically’ ramble because of undue favours from President Bola Tinubu government.

Taking to his verified Facebook page on Tuesday morning, the former governor began with a cryptic quotation from the fictional detective in the popular British TV series Sherlock Holmes before hitting Governor Sani.

El-Rufai was reacting to a recent TV interview by the Kaduna State governor wherein the latter praised the Tinubu government and dismissed any coalition working to oust the government in 2027 general election. But the former governor said Governor Sani’s ‘rambling’ was informed by his access to
‘reimbursements, interventions and grants’ in excess of N150bn selectively given to Kaduna State government by President Tinubu in the last 18 months.

El-Rufai, writing with the hashtag #ConcernedKadunaCitizen, said: “Every day I see this governor embarrassingly and sycophantically rambling, I used to wonder why? However, confirming that Federal Government ‘reimbursements, interventions and grants’ in excess of N150bn have been given selectively to Kaduna by Tinubu, in the last 18 months, now explains everything.

“By all means, defend Asiwaju for the conditional cash transfer. Asiwaju has earned it, coming from you. The people of Kaduna State will judge at the right time and place. Have a nice day.”
