Kano Govt Suspends State Radio MD

Managing director of the Kano State Radio Corporation, Hashim Habib has been suspended.

This was made known in a letter dated December 22, 2023 signed by the acting secretary to the state government, Abdullahi Musa, requesting the station’s deputy managing editor, Abubakar Adamu Rano to take over the affairs of the radio station with immediate effect.

There was, however, no clear reason given for Hashim’s suspension by the state.

“Following the suspension of the managing director, Kano Radio Corporation, I am requested to request you to oversee the affairs of the corporation with immediate effect.
“Accordingly, you are by this letter requested to take over the matters of the corporation, please,” the statement read.
