Kawasho Foods supports Ogun schools

Kawasho Foods Corporation, on Thursday, donated 11,000 notebooks, 325 desks and chairs as well as 150 cartons of Geisha Mackrel, to 10 selected primary schools in Ogun State.

Speaking at the distribution of those items to the benefitting schools at the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board office, Abeokuta, the African representative of the company, Mr Murata Kotaro, said that the gesture was to mark the company’s 112 years of global operations and over 70 years of doing business in Nigeria.

Kotaro said, “Our company has a strong interest in education, as we believe it has a positive relationship with economic growth and development and has been contributing towards its development at various levels in Nigeria.

“It is in line with our utmost belief and corporate responsibility as we celebrate the 112th anniversary of our Geisha brand that we donate 325 desks and chairs, 11,000 Geisha-branded notebooks, and 150 cartons of Geisha Mackrel to these selected schools.”

 The Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Dr Femi Majekodunmi, lauded the food company for partnering with the Ogun State Government to develop the education sector.
