Konga cuts prices by 70% at Easter

Konga, Nigeria’s e-commerce leader, has rolled out its Easter Fiesta Campaign, cutting prices by up to 70 per cent to draw shoppers through April.

The month-long push, launched on April 1, piles on discounts across tech, fashion, and home goods, aiming to ease wallets in a tight economy.

A statement from Konga obtained on Monday spelt out the details, framing the campaign as a follow-up to its Ramadan run.

Discounts span electronics, smartphones, computing, fashion, appliances, and fast moving consumer goods—catering to a broad swathe, from gadget fans to homemakers. It’s a play to keep customers hooked on value, the firm said, after a well-received Ramadan stint.

The company is also pushing mobile-first shopping during the campaign, with exclusive deals and discount coupons available only on the Konga App. “This approach aligns with our broader digital growth strategy and offers more convenience for users,” the company stated.

KongaPay, the platform’s digital payment service, also plays a central role in the campaign. Beyond fast and secure payments, users can enjoy up to 28% returns on their savings, which the company described as “a strong incentive for cost-conscious shoppers”.

To ease delivery concerns, Konga said it is leveraging KongaNow—its same-day delivery service available in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt—during the busy Easter period.

“With the current economic challenges, the Easter Fiesta Campaign gives Nigerians a chance to shop smarter and get more value for their money,” the company added. “Whether for gifting, upgrading the home, or simply treating oneself, this initiative meets shoppers at the point of their needs.”
