Kwara CP Decorates 96 Newly Promoted Officers

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya has formally decorated 96 newly promoted senior police officers with their new ranks.

In the exercise, one police officer was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), 14 promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), 4 promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP) while 77 officers were promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

The CP described the elevation as a testament to the promoted officers’ hard work and dedication to duty.

He added that the development called for accountability, greater commitment to safeguarding public safety and security in the state.

CP Olaiya congratulated the newly decorated officers and reminded them that their promotions come with more expectations.

He urged them to enhance professionalism in combating crime and fostering positive community relations in line with international best practices.

Olaiya expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun and the Chairman, Police Service Commission, Hashimu Argungu for making the welfare of policemen topmost priority.
