An artiste, Cross Idukomose, popularly known as Kwate, has released a new single titled, ‘Usain Bolt’. The Edo State-born Afrobeats artiste who was recently named the ‘Dynamic Artiste of the Year’ at the 11th edition of the Rainbow Hall of Fame Awards, says the track draws from his personal journey in the music industry.
According to Kwate, Usain Bolt is a fusion of “afrobeats” and “Hausapiano”, with musical influences from artistes such as Kiss Daniel and Ruger. According to him, the song reflects themes of resilience and celebration, following what he describes as a period of personal struggle and eventual triumph.
He added, “The song is gaining momentum daily. I am grateful to God and my team for the support. The story behind the song is one of struggle. I eventually overcame my failure, and now I sing it to celebrate, uplift and turn pain into a party.”
